On this page we will be discussing a bathroom and a laundry room.
  • One of the factors when we started this project was the lack of space.
  • We decided to go with a four foot wide vanity.
  • The old 18 inch deep by 18 inch wide closet was taken away and we constructed a 24 inch deep by 32 inch wide closet with moveable shelves.
  • We had to customize the closet door since the ceiling was lower and slanted.
  • The light was relocated from the left wall to above the medicine cabinet.
  • The plumbing was upgraded and we installed new vinyl flooring.
  • The last step was to prime and paint the walls and ceiling.

  • The laundry room had very old cabinets.
  • The first three pictures show how the old cabinets looked.
  • The choices were to sand it all down then prime and paint, or to install new cabinets.
  • Since the work to refurbish the old cabinets was too labor intensive, we decided to install new cabinets.
  • The ceiling was constructed with plaster and due to shifting of the house, there were too many cracks to repair so the decision was made to install drywall.
  • The floor was upgraded to vinyl flooring.
  • We then upgraded to new baseboards.
  • The next step was to prime and paint the walls and ceiling and the final step was to install the cabinets.
