Basement:
We removed the old 60 gallon water tank and replaced it with a new one moving it to a more suitable location. We cleaned all the walls, ceiling and floors and installed 2 layers of insulation throughout the basement, so now there is a value of 25R insulation in the basement. The old staircase was in terrible shape and some of the stairs were coming apart from the stringers. So we removed it completely and rebuilt it. We also had to replace the back door with a steel fire retardant door. The city demanded this if we wanted to install the patio door.
